Stress, Anxiety, or Depression

If you are anxious, overwhelmed, sad, or “stuck”, we can work together to find your best way of achieving greater peace-of-mind. Facing fears with understanding and gentle support reduces anxiety. Learning how to change your thoughts to change your feelings, how to stop beating yourself down and start lifting yourself up , you can feel better and be better.  If relaxation exercises, guided imagery and meditation work for you, they’ll be part of your therapy. If these don’t work for you, that’s okay! Our job will be to help you find your way.  Generally, I use a combination of client centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) in working with clients.  Usually this involves experimenting with new behaviors and tools to change your mood, reduce your anxiety, or decrease stress. Your treatment plan will be individualized for your needs, making use of what will work best for you.
